Humboldt Domestic Violence Services

Founded in 1977, HDVS provides emergency and short-term housing, advocacy, counseling, transportation assistance, food, translation services, and assistance with Section 8 housing and restraining orders.  In 2022 they fielded 2,500 calls, provided 2,500 bed nights, conducted 1,500 counseling sessions, lead 250 support groups, and assisted with 100 restraining orders.  We are blessed to have them supporting our communities.  If you are experiencing issues or know of someone who is, contact the Emergency Hotline at 707-433-6042 or through their website at https://hdvs.org.

Everyone has the potential to discover a human trafficking situation.  While the victims may sometimes be kept behind locked doors, they are often hidden right in front of us.
